Dear folks at AMR
Well it is a whole new world out there thanks to the new instructional DVDs from Doug Macleod and Laurence Juber.
With Doug, I finally feel that I have found the key to understanding
melody and how to improvise while playing a song. He is fun,
accessible, and most of all, he inspires confidence. I feel like I
will be able to play what he teaches and make it my own.
As or LJ's DVD, finally music theory for the musically
challenged. Yes, those of us who have tried to ignore the fundamentals
of music theory can at long last learn it from the master taught in a
manner that makes theory understandable. With this DVD, I have the
building blocks I need to try and compose my own tunes.
Lastly, the quality of these DVDs is unsurpassed by anything
that has ever been on the market previously. Not only is the lighting
first rate so that one can actually see what both LJ and Doug are
doing, but the multiple angle option that allows the student to study
either hand close up has long been missing from instructional video.
